Our Friday friends at Felton Street Community Preschool decided they wanted to change our painting today.
We had stampers with Indigenous symbols on them and used white paint on coloured paper, supported by visual pictures of traditional artworks for inspiration.
Some of the children decided they wanted to add handprints to their work! We have reflected on this and, listening to what our children want, we will be including hand painting into future artworks. This will give educators an opportunity to explore and discuss traditional painting ways with the children, the meaning of handprints in art and to have some fun learning.
