On 23 February, 4/5D students learnt that a humpy is a small, temporary shelter, traditionally used by Aboriginal people. They had the opportunity to go out into our school environment and collect some materials to make their humpy. There were lots of different conversations happening between the students in regards to the materials they used and how they would hold up in certain weather conditions.
A hands-on learning approach is always fun and the students seem to really take in the information and knowledge shared.
